Riverchase Country Club

The opening hole is a medium length par 4 that is uphill.

The tee shot should favor the left side to avoid the fairway bunker. The approach shot requires excellent distance control. Two bunkers and a greenside grass bunker guard the green.

Without a doubt, Riverchase Country Club offers its members one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in Alabama.

Conceived in 1967 by engineer-developer John Harbert as the heart of the 3,000-acre Riverchase Community, the Club became a reality in 1976. Eleven years after completion, the Club's members purchased the property and it remains a fully member-owned club today.

Golf legend Gene Sarazen was the first to tee off the course. Since then, the Club has been fortunate to welcome a long list of celebrity players, including Former President Gerald Ford, Michael Jordan, Bob Hope, and Charlie Boswell (The Midnight Golfer). The Club continues to see guest and member celebrities, as well as act as the venue for national, state, and local events.

Riverchase prides itself on being a Birmingham tradition and a place for the entire family to enjoy!
