Mira Vista Golf & Country Club - Mira Vista El Cerrito, California

Mira Vista ~ An East Bay Golf & Country Club

Mira Vista is not just about playing golf, it’s about falling in love with the game. Originally designed by two of the great architects in golf history, Robert Hunter with William (Willie) K. Watson, the Mira Vista course offers an uncrowded, rewarding experience. Our course will sometimes thrill you, sometimes bewilder you, and always challenge you. Whether you’re a competitive golfer or a recreational player, the course will keep you captivated – and leave you with an itch for more.

But Mira Vista is more than just a great place to play golf. As one of the first clubs to open its membership to a diverse community, Mira Vista maintains a spirit of unpretentious camaraderie.

And all this in a location that boasts some of the most spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay Area. With a panorama of the San Francisco Bay on one side, and the rolling hills of Wildcat Canyon on the other, Mira Vista is a place to rejuvenate. We are dedicated to making Mira Vista enjoyable, accessible and affordable. Give us a ring. We’d love to hear from you.

"As a recreation for all classes, golf seems destined to become as universal as it is beneficial."

Golf Course

Robert Hunter and Willie K. Watson's vision in 1920 was to create a championship golf course in a setting with glorious views in all directions. Their vision was not only realized, but has been kept alive by generations of Bay Area golfers. Throughout its almost one hundred year history, Mira Vista has held on to the original design and historical character of the course, while enhancing the playing conditions through modern architectural influences. The end result is a mature and demanding golf course that truly tests players’ golf skills, regardless of their level.

Hunter's words about the course still apply today: “the way to the hole is often tormented and narrow… For the one-shot holes, wood, cleek, midiron and jigger must be used, and the shots must be well-night perfect to get the par."

Members can also enjoy the benefits of PGA Class A professionals on staff for private lessons and clinics, a full service pro shop, and a state of the art practice facility.
