La Rinconada Country Club - La Rinconada Los Gatos, California

Our Golf Course

The golf course at La Rinconada is set among rolling hills with narrow, tree-lined fairways. A shotmaker’s course, the greens are small and undulating and protected by many bunkers. The course features a wide variety of challenging holes, including two long par 3's and several risk/reward short par 4's. Greens and tees are placed close together making the course a joy to walk.

The course was designed by William Jefferson, a protégé of Tom Morris, the nephew of the famous British Open champion of the same name. Jefferson was also influenced by Thomas Bendelow, the designer of the course at Medinah Country Club. It is a truly classic design that will provide you with endless challenges.

The course has been continually updated, while remaining true to its classic roots. The mixed bent grass and poa annua greens are built to USGA specifications, as are the tee boxes. Conditioning of the perennial ryegrass fairways is superb.
