Contra Costa Country Club - Contra Costa Pleasant Hill, California

Those that cherish the game of golf consistently regard the historic course at Contra Costa as the best in the area. Playing to 6,550 yards at par 72, it is a joy in all four seasons-challenging but fair, comfortably walkable and landscaped with mature native oak, eucalyptus and redwood trees that frame dramatic views to Mt. Diablo and beyond.

Once a large farm abundant in dry, golden grass, the course today is a verdant and lasting testament to our membership's dedication to the game. It has been through at least three major iterations, the most recent occurring in 1992 when Robert Muir Graves was commissioned to design new greens out of carpet-like bent grass, which has made them second to none in both quality and challenge throughout Northern California. The course plays longer and with more difficulty than it looks, which inspires our members to play again and again, doing whatever they can to drop a stroke or two.
