Blackhawk Country Club is a private, member-owned club offering elegance, relaxation and exceptional recreational and social facilities within a magnificent setting.
The Club features two 18-hole, par 72, championship golf courses. Renowned golf course architects Bruce Devlin and Robert Von Hagge designed the original 6,904-yard Lakeside Course in 1981. In 2001, the course was completely redesigned and renovated by the highly acclaimed firm of Graves and Pascusso. The Lakeside Course makes dramatic use of the natural terrain and elevated tees. It is rated by the NCGA as one of the ten most difficult courses in Northern California. The 18th green, a 10,000 square foot island surrounded by a 4-acre lake, is one of the most dramatic holes found in California.
The Club’s 6,700-yard Falls Course, designed by Ted Robinson, was completed in 1986. The Falls Course features five lakes and a spectacular waterfall as the backdrop to the 11th green. You will also experience some of the most stunning East Bay Vistas, elevation changes and one of the most spectacular views from the 10th tee and the Falls Clubhouse.
Golf clinics, an indoor golf training center and lessons with accredited PGA golf instructors are available. Men’s, women’s, senior and junior programs and tournaments make Blackhawk Country Club a golfer’s paradise.

Exciting Auburn Golf At The Black Oak Golf Course
The Best Golf North of Sacramento
It’s hard to believe that the beautifully contoured Auburn, CA golf course, hidden in the folds of the Gold Country, is a little less than a couple of miles from the bustling I-80 freeway and route 49. Its beautiful bold oaks provide a wonderful outline to generous fairways and greens.
Once something of a walk on the wild side, the course has been tailored to cater for golfers of all abilities. Over the years, over one hundred trees have been planted with about a dozen having been removed to better delineate the fairways.
Manicured fairways provide a lush green carpet to the entrance of slick tiered Poanna greens on a course, that from the tips, measures 3,163 yards, consisting, two par 3’s, five par 4’s and two par 5’s. The signature hole is the scenic 131 yards par 3 fourth hole over water.
Our Auburn Golf Course Improvements
Considerable improvements have been carried out on the course since its architect John Walker designed the course over twenty years ago. Not least of all, the removal of intrusive rocks, the introduction of concrete paths, and the building of the driving range.
More and more golfers take a break on their way up to Tahoe from the Bay Area or on their way back, and book up for an enjoyable nine holes of Auburn, CA golf at the areas "best kept secret" golfing destination
The self-described “above the fog and below the snow” golf course has a pace of play policy, implemented by marshals who are the friendly ears and eyes of the course.
